Wind wallops tree
The Chagrin Valley experienced a wild, winter weekend. On Saturday, temperatures hovered near a record in the upper 60s. Then on Sunday, warmer weather gave way to colder weather along with some wind gusts. A tree in front of Chagrin Falls High School on East Washington Street was no match for the gusts. The tree fell on some power lines and was eventually cut into firewood. |

Mr. Kimbrew said the petitions were invalidated because of insufficient signatures.
The petitions contained 104 signatures and needed 99 valid signatures for the issue to make it to the May ballot. However, Mr. Kimbrew said, only 97 of the signatures were deemed valid.
