Jean Nicholson Lyon
Jean Nicholson Lyon, 86, of Chagrin Falls, died Nov. 8 at Geauga Medical Center after a short illness.
Daughter of the late George and Ada (nee White) Nicholson, she was born in 1923 in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Montclair High School and then from Oberlin College in 1945. She married Donald Lyon in 1946 during his medical training at Western Reserve Medical School. The couple was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Fort Knox, Kentucky, during his service in the Army Medical Corps. He preceded her in death in 1971.
Mrs. Lyon is survived by her son, Donald Lyon, Jr.; daughter, Linda Lorek; a brother, Howard, of Hanover, New Hampshire; and five grandchildren.
