JULIA N. GEORGE
Julia N. George passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009 in Columbus, OH, after an extended illness. Born September 7, 1920 to Bela and Howard Nettles of Leo, SC. Beloved wife of the late Ralph M. George, and devoted mother of Pamela (John) Meyers of Bernardsville, NJ; Marcia (Gary) Nishioka of Pataskala, OH; Stuart (Susan) George of Devon, PA; Lawrence (Marsha) George of Dublin, OH; and Benjamin (Deborah) George of Moreland Hills, OH. Grandmother of Julia, James, Jenna, and Justin Meyers; Emily and Christopher Nishioka; Stephen and Sarah George; Michael, Samantha and Stephanie George.
Graduate of Winthrop College (Rock Hill, SC), with MS degrees from the University of Tennessee and Case-Western Reserve University. Employed as a chemist by Tennessee Eastman during WWII and as a science teacher at Solon Middle Schools. Ralph and Julie George were founding members of the Church of the Western Reserve, United Presbyterian, Pepper Pike, OH, and were long-term residents of Gates Mills, OH, and then Moreland Hills, OH.
Private memorial service to be held in Columbus, OH, and interment with Ralph in Gates Mills.
