DOROTHY A. "DOLL" LESLIE
Dorothy A. "Doll" Leslie, age 85, former resident of Solon for over 50 years, passed away at home in Aurora Shores March 8, 2010. Faith, family, and a love for water and the sun would best describe Doll. She was a devout Catholic - a member of St. Rita's Church for 52 years, whose Christian faith was most important in her life. She had a Chemistry Degree from Ursuline College, but her true vocation was raising her 7 children. She took great joy in her children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren, and was most at home surrounded by her family and friends who always described her as their second mother.
Beloved wife of the late John Joseph; dearest mother of Jack, Timothy (Victoria), Neil (Kathy), Jo Anne Leslie, Mark (Mary), Joseph (Constance), Dorothy (Francisco) Novilla; devoted grandmother of Jamieson, Lindsay, Patrick, Vincent, Melanie, Ryan, Eric, Traci, Nicolette, Alisa, and Cara; loving great-grandmother of Eric, Kira, Roman, Brennan, and Joey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 12, 10AM at St. Rita's Church with Interment at All Souls Cemetery. Family will welcome friends at Kindrich-McHugh Steinbauer Funeral Home Thursday, March 11, from 3-8 PM. Contributions may be made, on her behalf, to National Right to Life.
