JOHN R. NAY
John R. Nay, 67, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, died suddenly Thursday, April 8, 2010. The son of John H. and Dorothy E. Nay was born on June 20, 1942, in Columbus, Indiana. He graduated from Columbus High School in Columbus, Indiana in 1960. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio in 1967. He was an Army veteran and served in Vietnam.
His career included working for Advisory Services, the Blossom Family of Cleveland, the IMG Company, the Copeland Companies, and as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley and Charter One Investments. He retired in 2006 and worked part-time for the Cleveland Indians baseball club and was managing his son Bradford's company, In Home Electronics, at the time of his death.
John was married to Janice Gehrke on November 20, 1971. He is survived by his wife; his sons, Christopher, (Patrice) of Dublin, Ohio and Bradford of Claridon, Ohio; his mother; brothers, James (Linda), William (Nancy) and David; 3 nephews, 3 nieces, 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces - all of Columbus, Indiana. His father and two infant sons preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Valley Lutheran Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. He enjoyed working in his yard, helping his sons, and helping others.
Funeral services were held at Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home in Chagrin Falls, Ohio on Wednesday, April 14 with Pastor Dan Esala of Valley Lutheran Church officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice in memory of John.
