MILES LUCIEN GILSON, JR.
Miles Lucien Gilson, Jr. died suddenly April 26, 2010, at his home in Odessa, Florida. Known since childhood as Mike, he was born to Miles and Elizabeth (Neal) Gilson September 3, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mike is a graduate of Chagrin Falls High School and Hiram College, and served in the U. S. Air Force. He was employed for many years at Stock Equipment Company of Chagrin Falls and retired as vice president of manufacturing. Mike enjoyed being a grandfather, riding a snowmobile in winter and his Harley motorcycle in good weather.
He is survived by the love of his life, Margaret( Hardie) Gilson. Mike and Margaret were married June 17, 1967 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. He is also survived by daughters; Brandie Gilson (Derek Phipps) of Tampa, Florida, and Hollie (Keith) Kenniff of Portland, Oregon; granddaughter, Margaret Elizabeth; and infant grandson, Carter Miles; also sister, Sally (Karl) Haecker of Columbus, Ohio; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his family Mike leaves behind many friends who love and miss him.
A private funeral remembrance service will be held May 8th in Odessa. A memorial service and interment will be held July 10, 2010 at Little Lake Cemetery, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
