MARGARET GLOCKNER RODGERS
Margaret Glockner Rodgers (nee Rieske) of Alva, FL and Bainbridge Twp. passed away April 30, 2010 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL. She was born Nov. 24, 1920 in Mayfield Heights, OH and was one of eight children.
She married Ralph Glockner in 1942 and they lived in Kirtland and N. Ft. Myers, FL. Ralph died in 1985, and Marge married Don "Scotty" Rodgers in 1991. An extraordinary homemaker, Marge also enjoyed traveling with Don to antique midget car races to watch him race. They spent much of their time showing their antique and classic cars at shows in Ohio and Florida.
She is survived by her second husband, Don Scott Rodgers; step-children, Debra Diehl and Scotty Rodgers of Mansfield, OH, Donna Lucas of Bainbridge, and Louis Rodgers of Burton; one sister and three brothers and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by sisters Fairy (Fritz) Rodgers and Hazel Tompkins and brother Harold Rieske.
Graveside services were held at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens on May 7, 2010. An Ohio memorial service will be planned for later this summer.
