MARGARET "PEG" RAY
Margaret "Peg" Ray, 85, of Moreland Hills passed away May 14, 2010, at Corinne Dolan Center in Munson Township. Born February 1, 1925, in Cleveland, she was a 42-year resident of Moreland Hills and a former resident of Euclid. Peg was an angel on earth. She lived with grace and dignity. She loved unconditionally and was an example of love. She was devoted to her husband, Judge John F. Ray Jr., for 39 years. Peg was the consummate homemaker, gourmet chef and accomplished artist and seamstress. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, she pursued her creative interest to the benefit of her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She participated in various activities including book, music and investment clubs. She was a friend to and loved by all and will never be forgotten.
Survivors include her daughters, Margaret Ray De Arenas, Colleen Ray, and Susan (Stanley III) Stone; son, Shawn Ray; grandchildren, Tai Ranallo, Micah Roth, Taylor Stone, and John Arenas; great-granddaughter, Ryan Elizabeth Ranallo; and brothers, William Finnerty and Robert (Lillian) Finnerty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge John F. Ray Jr.
Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at St. Joan of Arc Church, 496 E. Washington St., Chagrin Falls.
