Opal Koch (nee Clemens) passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010, at the age of 80. She and her husband, Ulrich, celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on June 27th. Together they had three children, Karen, David, Lisa; and four grandchildren, Zoe, Spencer, Rupert, and Oliver.
Born in Cincinnati, Opal was a resident of Bainbridge Township for the past 35 years. She served in the U.S. Navy before her marriage. Since then, she was active in her community, volunteering with the Girl Scouts, her church, and her children's schools throughout the years.
Calling hours are from 5-8 p.m. on September 9th at Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home in Chagrin Falls. Services will be at 10 a.m. on September 10th at Valley Lutheran Church. Internment at the Aurora Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Valley Lutheran Church in Chagrin Falls.
