DANIEL V. NEESHAM
Daniel "Dan" Neesham of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, passed away December 19, 2010. Dan was born July 27 in San Jose, CA., attended Kenston High School and Ohio University where he studied business and finance. He was a gifted fund raiser consistently reaching and exceeding financial goals of the capital campaigns which he led for the Catholic Church.
Dan loved Chagrin Falls and was devoted to his community. He was an active member of the Chagrin Valley Jaycee's and acting President from '00-'01. Dan was passionate about helping to plan and lead the Blossom Time festivities each spring, including the Blossom fair, parade, hot air balloon races, and mini-marathon. He also enjoyed helping decorate the village for Christmas, including hanging Christmas trees, lights, and garlands in the square. Dan was subsequently President of the Jaycee's Charitable Foundation from '04 to '10 and an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Dan is survived by his son, Alec; mother, Marilyn; sisters Gloria, Bonnie, and Heather; and brother, Clay. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack. He was blessed with the love of his family and deep genuine friendships throughout his life and was known for many selfless acts of helping those in need.
Dan was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, fishing, and white-water rafting in the summer and skiing in the winter. Some of his favorite times were family fishing trips to Lake Chautauqua and NC OBX and visiting with friends in Hilton Head, SC.
Our family is deeply moved by the incredible love and support from friends and family who have sustained us with their fond memories of Dan. Donations to the Daniel V. Neesham Memorial Fund can be made at any Fifth Third Bank location. All proceeds will go toward Alec's college education.
