Papp, Kathleen Curtin
KATHLEEN
CURTIN PAPP
Kathleen Curtin Papp was born on November 8, 1922 to Daniel Curtin and Lillian Zerr Curtin. She lost her long battle with cancer on October 12 and will be reunited with her late husband, Ernie. She was preceded in death by her sister, Florence C. Smith and is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Kay was a life-long resident of the Cleveland area and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Rocky River, Ohio. Kay worked for several years as an Executive Secretary until her marriage to Ernie in 1957. She resided for many years with her husband in Bainbridge Township. They enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the Southwest U.S. where they collected the turquoise and other gemstones that Ernie turned into creative pieces of jewelry.
Kay loved the Golden Retrievers who shared her life and enjoyed gardening and caring for her variety of house plants, and feeding the wildlife near her home. She was also an avid crafter and she shared her many works with family and friends. Kay spent many hours walking the woods and pointing out her favorite plants to those who joined her.
Graveside services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, October 29, at Restland Cemetery in Bainbridge. Stroud-Lawrence is in charge of arrangements. All friends are invited to pay their respects.
She is now free of pain and joined once more with her family and friends who passed on before her.
