ESTELLE (FISHER) SCHURGER

Estelle (Fisher) Schurger, died peacefully in the presence of family, January 23, 2011, having experienced 98 blessed, full years. A long-time resident of Chagrin Falls, OH and Naples, FL. Lovingly cared for in her final days by the staff at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor, Columbus, OH.

Survived by son, Jon, NH; daughter, Nancy Peebles, of Westerville; grandchildren, Diana Peebles, Gwynn (Rob) Imlay, David (Linda) Peebles, Jon (Sue) Schurger and Catherine (Chris) Giugliano; and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, honored businessman, John C. Schurger; sister, Emily Hinkley; and parents, Adolph and Stanislawa Fisher.

‘Gam’ was an energetic lady of many talents and opinions, a perfectionist seamstress and creative party hostess known by friends as the Zucchini Queen of Chagrin Falls. She loved cooking, entertaining, gardening, photography, writing, and animals, especially her dogs.

A private family burial will be held at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio, where she will join her husband. Remembrances may be made to an animal shelter of one's choice or Mt. Carmel Hospice, Columbus, OH.
