KROHN DAVID

DAVID KROHN

David Krohn passed away December 10, 2010, at the Hospice Care Center. He was the owner of the Upper Cut Hair Salon in Chagrin Falls for 37 years. His first salon was in the Stepnorth Building in 1973. After 5 years he moved across the street to the corner of Main & Orange. He was at that location for 16 years and in 1994 moved one last time to 92 N. Main. Dave remained there until July when illness forced him to retire.

He was born and raised in Mantua. After graduation he worked briefly before going into the army where he was stationed in Germany. When he came home, he went to work at Sherwin Williams where he met his wife, Connie, who also worked at the Upper Cut with him. He began his career at the Engineers Bldg. downtown Cleveland. After a few months, he moved to Shaker Square and then to his own salon in Warrensville. After several years, he sold the salon and moved to Chagrin Falls. He attended schools in New York, Toronto, and California. Dave truly enjoyed his job and loved being with people.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; brother, Ronnie; sister, Julie; and many nieces and nephews as well as many wonderful friends.
