MADALYNNE WALLIS GENSKE
Madalynne (Madge) Wallis Genske, 88, of Novelty, Ohio, bid farewell to her immediate family at home on Good Friday, April 22, 2011. She was born in Akron on May 19, 1922, to Florence and John Wallis. She attended Chester School and married Ralph Genske of Russell on May 4, 1946, at the Federated Church in Chagrin Falls where they remained members for over 60 years. Beginning her married life in Chester, she and Ralph co-built their house in Russell taking up residence in 1955 and raising their two daughters, Judy (Mrs. Paul Hederstrom), and Joan (Mrs. David Hirsch). Madge’s husband; Ralph, with their two daughters and husbands; as well as five grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Jesse, Becca and Laura; and seven great-grandchildren, Sasha, Paul, Evan, Grace, Olivia, Andres and Hanna, represent the loving legacy she leaves behind.
The memorial service will be held at Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, 95 South Franklin Street, Chagrin Falls on Thursday, April 28th at 2pm. In accordance with Madge’s desires, please send memorial gifts to the Federated Church of Chagrin Falls.
