CHARLOTTE ADELAIDE BRISKEY HOWARD

Charlotte Adelaide Briskey Howard passed away Friday, January 16, 2009, in her home in Columbus, Georgia.

“Grammy” was born April 16, 1929, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, where she grew up and attended high school. After high school, she married John E. Howard, becoming a Navy wife living in New England, California, Guam, Key West, Florida, and settling in Columbus, Georgia.

Charlotte was preceded in passage by brother Dick (Claire) Sternberg of La Barge, Wyoming; brother, Bill (Georgia) Briskey of Casper, Wyoming; and sister, Marilyn (Clarence) Rowland, also of Casper. Charlotte is succeeded in passage by sister, Harriett Callahan of Seattle, Washington.

Grammy leaves four children; Paul Howard of Red Bluff, California; Tom Howard of Columbus, Georgia; Charlotte Howard of Key West, Florida; and John Howard, also of Columbus.

Grammy leaves grandchildren; Josh Howard of Red Bluff, California; Jennifer Howard of Macon, Georgia.; Ashley Howard of Columbus, Georgia.; Amber Howard, also of Columbus; Meaghan Howard of Smith Station, Alabama; and Kaitlyn Howard, also of Smith Station.

Grammy leaves two great-grandchildren; Zachary Howard of Red Bluff, California; and Emily Howard, also of Red Bluff.

She loved to snorkel, beachcomb, and spend time with her children and grandchildren as their loving friend and confidant. We love you and miss you, Grammy.
