WILLIAM F. CODY
William F. Cody of Chagrin Falls, died on July 5, 2011, age 84. Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Rodkey), cherished father of William Jr. (Gina Rubin) of Shaker Hts., Dana Carey (Bob) of Seattle, Washington, Timothy (Louise Burke) of Charlotte, North Carolina; loving son of Jane and Louis Cody (both deceased) of Cleveland Hts., Ohio; and dear brother of Jane Meincke of Chatham, Massachusetts. Adored grandfather to Laura “Allie” and Vanessa Cody, Megan Carey, Sara and Blake Cody and William F. Cody III. Mr. Cody was also stepfather to his wife’s children, Julie Gordon (Scott) and Brent Ballard (Ann) and step-grandfather to Tom and Bill Gordon, Isabel, Wick and Brent Ballard Jr.
U.S. Coast Guard 1945-1946 and Univ. of Virginia 1950. Sales and operations executive in several industries. Sailor, skier, hockey & lacrosse player coach. Loved teams, kids, sportsmanship, academics, and instilling work ethics.

A private family service was held at Lakeview Cemetery.
A service, in memory of Bill will be held on September 3, 2011, at 10 a.m. at The Federated Church in Chagrin Falls with a reception at The Country Club immediately following.
