JEAN H. MERRITT
Jean H. Merritt, 83, of Terre Haute, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, of natural causes at home. Jean was born on August 21, 1927, in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of Hiram and Miriam Hull. Mrs. Merritt retired from the Central National Bank (Key Bank) in Chagrin Falls. She also owned the Isaly's Dairy Store on Main Street in Chagrin Falls.
Jean is survived by her husband of 64 years, John (Donald) Merritt of Terre Haute; sons, John (Jay) Merritt of Lynchburg, VA, and Jerald (Jerry) Merritt and wife Sandy of Louisville, KY; and daughter, Kathy Merritt of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Jennifer Jordan (Brian) of Zionsville, and Jeffrey Merritt and Diana Merritt of Louisville; and great-grandson, William (Liam) Merritt Jordan of Zionsville.
Graveside memorial services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, 7500 N. Clinton Street, in Terre Haute, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, with the Rev. Nancy Hull, (niece) officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Simple Cremations and Burials of Clinton.
