MARGARET KAY SETTLEMIRE
1988 - 2008
Maggie Settlemire of Niceville, Florida, died tragically in a car accident on Nov. 8, 2008.
She was born on Dec. 8, 1988, in Fairbanks, Alaska, and followed her family across the nation to various Air Force bases from California, Texas, Nebraska, Alabama, Maryland, and eventually to Niceville. She made friends and touched people's hearts across this great country.
She was a student at Northwest Florida State College, where she was pursuing a bachelor's degree. She graduated summa cum laude from Niceville High School in 2007.
In her free time she enjoyed all the things a normal teenager enjoyed, such as reading, watching TV and movies, the Internet, all her pets and being with friends. She loved the water and the beach and spent time with all her family on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
She is survived by her parents, Ted and Amy Settlemire; brother, Connor; great-grandmother, Sally Budzinski; grandparents, Richard and Sandie Travas, and Patricia Settlemire; aunt, Allison Barrett; uncles, Bill, Robert and Peter Settlemire, and John Travas; cousins, Gabriel and Hannah Settlemire; and countless friends.
A memorial Mass was held Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Christ Our Redeemer Church in Niceville, Florida.
