RAYMOND NICHOLAS UHLIR

43; September 5, 1968 - October 16, 2011


Raymond Nicholas Uhlir died unexpectedly at his home in Bainbridge Twp. from heart complications. He was born in Chicago, IL, attended Edinboro University, where he met his wife, Laurie, and graduated in 1997 from CSU in physics and math. Ray and Laurie married in 1996. He worked at Nestaway where he was a mechanical engineer, was a member of Lake Colony Homeowners Board, was active with his son's sports in Kenston's Community Education Programs by coaching football, basketball, and baseball, he loved golf, and was known to be able to fix anything.

Raymond was the beloved husband and best friend of Laurie (nee Chrzanowski); loving father, friend, and hero of Garrett Nicholas and Daphne Anne; cherished son of Rosemarie (nee Calo) Perko and Kenneth (Anita) Uhlir; son-in-law of Pam and John Chrzanowski; dear brother of Todd (Virginia); brother-in-law of Patrick (Denise); devoted uncle of Jacob, Joshua, Danielle, and Amanda; good friend to all.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 20, 10AM at Holy Angels Church, 18205 Chillicothe Rd., Bainbridge Twp. Interment All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Uhlir Children's Scholarship Fund, c/o Chase Bank, 8501 Tanglewood Square, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023.
