HERBERT GEORGE HENDERSON
Herbert George Henderson, 87 years old, went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2011. We are saddened by the loss of a good husband, father, and friend. He was born on September 16, 1924, the son of the late Roy and Grace (nee Bradley). He was a life-long resident of the Chagrin Falls and Bainbridge area. He served in the 10th Mountain Division in World War II and later was a successful and well liked car salesman for Wince Motors and Jim Marsh Ford where he would retire. He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife, Ruby (nee Blackburn) of 64 years. He was a devoted father to children Thomas (Onalee), James (Caroline), and Susan (Roger) Rodhe. He will be missed by grandchildren Tom, Brian, Derek, Melissa, Nicholas; his Family; and many friends. Dear brother of Raymond (Julie); preceded in death by his brother, Eldon; and sister, Kathleen.
Family received friends November 17, 2011, at the Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, 95 S. Franklin St., Chagrin Falls, OH. Memorial services were held November 18, 2011, at The Federated Church, 76 Bell St., Chagrin Falls, OH. Private family interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the Geauga Humane Society Rescue Village or to a charity of choice.
