JEAN M. COX
Jean M. Cox, (nee Bittner), age 83. Died peacefully Sunday, November 23, 2008. Jean was born November 30, 1924, in Cleveland to George and Lillian (nee Serbus) Bittner. She also had a sister, Carole Fantozzi, who predeceased Jean. She graduated from Paul Revere Grade School, Nathan Hale Middle School, and John Adams High. She married Clarence Cox on Jan. 27, 1949. He died Sept. 16, 1994.
Jean was a long-time resident of Solon and Twinsburg. She was a WWII Veteran in the United States Women’s Army Corps. She loved knitting and other crafts, as well as roller skating. She worked for the City of Solon Finance Dept. for twelve years. Jean touched the hearts of many and will be missed by all.
Beloved wife of the late Clarence, dear mother of Jeff (Tana), Susan (Bill) Curran, Stacey (John) Bertleff, and the late Cindy (John); loving grandmother of 12; great- grandmother of eight; and her dearest and devoted friend of the past eight years, Henry Belohlavek.
Memorial Services Saturday, Nov. 29, 3PM at KINDRICH-McHUGH STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE ROAD, SOLON, where family will visit with friends TWO HOURS PRIOR TO SERVICES, SATURDAY.
