WAYNE ATWOOD CARLSON
Wayne Atwood Carlson, age 89, loving and dedicated husband to Elinor, loving father of Cindy, Craig (Grace), Kirk, (Lynn) and Eric (Amy). Born August 12, 1922. Devoted, playful and inspiring grandfather to Michael, Daniel, Hannah and Dean. Cherished son of Carl M. and Hannah Carlson. Brother to Olive (deceased), Evy (deceased), Vince (deceased), and Miles (Marlys). Unwavering friend to so many colleagues and neighbors as his automotive engineering work took him and his family from Michigan to Wisconsin to Ohio to North Carolina and back to Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. His love of the great outdoors, shared with his family through many camping trips, has been embraced by his children.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 20, at 4 p.m. at the Federated Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The family will greet friends in Fellowship Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Geauga Humane Society Rescue Village or a local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
