MICHAEL P. FURLAN
Michael P. Furlan II died 8-4-08, age 63, after a battle with liver cancer. An Ohio native who lived the past 20+ years in Euclid. The beloved husband of 25 years to Vanne J. Furlan. The devoted father of Amie (Paul) Sabatino, Beth (Phil) Motta, Michael P. (Shannon) Furlan III, Carleton Nash and Arienne Strater (Michael Brown). Grandfather of Brigid and Erin O'Donnell, Caitlin Brooks, Marissa, Rosalia and D.J. Motta, Michael P.IV, Abbigail, Emma Rose and Sophia Furlan and Brendan Beasor-Strater. Brother of Pat (Retta) Furlan, Sandra (Tom) Samsa and the late Tim Furlan. Uncle to Tim, John, Michael, Joey, Chris and Maura Furlan and Jennifer Zelenskas.
Michael had a degree in English and a Masters as a Reading Specialist. He started a Home Delivery Service for the Chagrin Valley Cleaners now Town and Country Cleaners in the greater Chagrin Falls area in 1981. He continued to develop and run the service for 27 years.
His customers, their families and dogs were very devoted to him and his outstanding service. Michael had a passion for history and was avid storyteller. He played duplicate bridge for over 40 years and was awarded Life Master status in May 2007.
Vigil and Visitation is being held at their home - 27515 Forestview Avenue, Euclid on Thursday & Friday from 6 - 8 P.M. The memorial service will be held at the LDS Chapel 8751 Kirland Road on Saturday at 11A.M. The wake will be at 1P.M. at their home.
