JEANNE ANNE COOKE

Jeanne Anne Cooke of Hilton Head Island passed away at her home in Sea Pines surrounded by her loving family.

Jeanne was born in New Jersey, the daughter of Edward and Gertrude Veronica Loughlin. She was a 1945 graduate of the academy of St. Aloysius and graduated from the College of St. Elizabeth in New Jersey in 1949. She was a school teacher in Virginia and Ohio.

She married John Stephen (Jack) Cooke in April 7, 1951. They had five children. Jeanne and her husband Jack retired to Hilton Head in 1985 from Chagrin Falls, Ohio because they fell in love with the Island. They belonged to the Sea Pines Country Club where they enjoyed golfing and many social activities.

Jack Cooke preceded his wife in death September 1992.

Mrs. Cooke is survived by her sons, Jack (wife Debbie) and Patrick, and daughters, Carole, Susan (husband Jim), and Merry, as well as grandchildren, Cynde, Stephen, Christina, Allison, Jaclyn, Megan and great-granddaughter Karalyna.

Mrs. Cooke leaves behind a brother, Jack (wife Delores), Sea Island, Ga. A brother, Edward, Las Vegas, NV., and sister, Ellen Casedonte also on Hilton Head Island.

She also leaves behind the best of friends and neighbors anyone could wish for.

A memorial service was held on December 16, 2008, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hilton Head Island, SC.
