LYNDALL HUGHES
Lyndall Hughes, age 86, of Chagrin Falls passed away peacefully on October 5, 2012. He was born on October 3, 1926, in Shaker Heights. Lyndall married Maxine Bloom on February 18, 1950. In 1945 Lyndall joined the Merchant Marines (under the Coast Guard) and served as a radio operator. He was a Real Estate Broker in Chagrin Falls. Lyndall was founding member of the Chagrin Valley JayCees, a member of the Al Koran Temple in Chagrin Falls, a Justice of the Peace, and a Notary Public. Lyndall was an accomplished pilot of single and twin engine planes. His interests included amateur radio, traveling the country with his family, collecting stamps, and model trains.
Lyndall is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maxine (nee Bloom); his loving children, Lynda (Richard) Macha and Charlie (Deborah) Hughes; grandchildren, Jennifer, Tiger, Elizabeth, Melissa, and the late Richie; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the United Methodist Church of Chagrin Falls, 20 S. Franklin St., Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022. Arrangements by Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
