CALDWELL ANNETTE KLUCHAR

ANNETTE KLUCHAR CALDWELL

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on June 27th, 1936, Annette was one of five children of John and Anna Kluchar. Roland, her beloved husband of 57 years, her children and her Creator, must now ask family and friends to allow her to return home to rest at peace with her Lord in Heaven eternally. Mother of Deborah Pecheux of Sugar Land, Texas; MaryAnn, and Roland Jr. of Venice, Florida; grandmother of the apples of her eye, her seven grandchildren, Andrew, Jay, Jamie, Will, Brooks, Zach and Chase, all of whom she so loved and will forever be with regardless of how far apart they may be. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Kluchar of Bainbridge Township, Ohio, her hometown, where she was raised on her parent's farm, was schooled, was a varsity cheerleader, and where Roland and she met and married. She will be laid to rest near family in Restland Cemetery there.
A child of a first generation Slovak Catholic family, Annette was a devout lifelong Christian, most recently serving on the Altar Guild and Vestry as a Reader and Member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Gatlinburg, Tennessee -- also ever cherishing members and their beloved and radiant Christ Church Episcopal in Rugby, Tennessee. Among her career of varied lifetime accomplishments, she was President, a Licensed Broker and principal of Keys-Caldwell, Inc., a prominent property management firm she founded in Venice, Florida, in the '70s. In 2008 she permanently moved with her husband to Tennessee into a rustic Smoky Mountain cabin they had been building for 30 years, co-editing with him the Pigeon Forge Irregular. She also served on the board as a director of the Big Brothers and Sisters Sun Coast of Florida, and among others, was Past President of the Gatlinburg Garden Club; a Member of the Smoky Mountain Historical Society; the Retired Citizens of the Smokies Hiking Club; The Gatlinburg Book Club; and a Paul Harris honoree for perfect attendance of Rotary Clubs in both Florida and Tennessee.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd, at the Bainbridge Community United Church of Christ, 17751 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested in Tennessee to the Gatlinburg Garden Club Lucinda Ogle Cabin Restoration Project; in Florida to The Big Brothers Big Sisters Sun Coast of Sarasota; or in Ohio to the Bainbridge Township Historical Society. Mail addressed to her at P.O. Box 212, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee 37868, will be forwarded to the appropriate organization.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home.
