GARY LOUIS CURTISS
Gary Louis Curtiss, age 74, of Dunedin, FL, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in Columbus, OH, surrounded by his children. He was born in Ravenna, OH, son of the late Louis E. Curtiss and Lilian Cooper Curtiss. Gary was a graduate of Chagrin Falls High School, class of 1956, as well as a member of the 1956 State Champion Men's High School Basketball team. Gary proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1963. He enjoyed being outside puttering in the yard and lived many years in Florida enjoying the beach and sunshine. He was a lover of dogs, especially his best dog, Leo.
He is survived by his loving children, Beth (Doug) Cook, Jonathan (Jerylyn) Curtiss, Jennifer (Sean) Essinger, Terri (Kelly) Mattingly and Mike (Linda) Shandle; cherished grandfather of Justin, Alicia, Mariah, Nikolas, Grace, Ella, Dan, Caitlin, Chloe, Jacob and Anya; dear brother of Shirley Snell.
Arrangements by DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Pickerington, OH. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Park Cemetery in Garrettsville, OH.
