RAYMOND ELLIOTT LAWRENCE, JR.
Raymond Elliott Lawrence, Jr., age 77, beloved husband of Elizabeth (Bunts), dear father of Mary (Stephen) Meyer of Ripon, Wisconsin and Elizabeth (Donald) Sobota of Chagrin Falls, passed away March 15, 2009, from lung cancer. Devoted grandfather of Daniel and Leah Dittrick, and Emily and Elizabeth Meyer.
He was born in Lakewood, Ohio, graduated from Lakewood High School in 1949, received a B.A. from Dartmouth College in1953, and an MBA from Tuck School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 - 1957. In retirement, he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cleveland. He was a 37 year active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Services will be held at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 6295 River Road, at the corner of Solon Road, Chagrin Falls, on Friday, March 20, at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Martin's or the Salvation Army. Arrangements by Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home Chagrin Falls, OH.
