FLORENCE S. SEYMOUR
Florence S. Seymour, widow of the late William B. Seymour, MD., passed away peacefully at her home in South Russell on April 23. She was 95. Florence was preceded in death by her daughter, Constance Seymour Speed; a granddaughter, Macuse Macomber; her brother. Lincoln Scafe of Seattle, WA.; and sister, Mary Frances Heiber of Venice, FL.
A resident of South Russell for the past 25 years, she was born in Michigan. Florence formerly lived in Cleveland Heights and also in Ireland where she and her late husband enjoyed fishing, traveling and the outdoors. Florence was a gourmet cook who enjoyed serving unique dishes and fine wines to her house guests, friends, and neighbors. Florence was a graduate of Laurel School.
She is survived by her nephew, Lincoln Scafe of Sacramento, CA; and a niece, Amanda Depot, of Mukilteo, WA; and her dear friend and caretaker, Britt Gardner of Chagrin Falls.
There will be no services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions in Florence's memory may be made to the Constance Seymour Creative Writing Award Fund at Laurel School, 1 Lyman Circle, Cleveland, OH 44122.
